Scores Feared Feared , Churches Burnt As Gunmen Attack Communities Near Chibok....
Scores are feared dead after armed men attacked two communities near Chibok in Borno State early Sunday.
Gunmen stormed Kwada and Kautikari when most residents were worshipping in different Churches, witnesses and security sources said.
The Borno State police spokesperson, Gideon Jubrin, said he had been informed of the attack, but declined to give details. Mr. Jubrin said he was yet to contact the district police officer in charge of Chibok.
“My attention was brought to the incident by a reporter and we have been battling to connect with our Divisional headquarters in Chibok for details, but it seems all the communication networks are down or something,” he said.
Residents said gunmen struck first in Kwada, where they attacked worshippers and set fire to at least four Churches, including COCCIN church, EYN church and Deeper Life Bible Church.
Kwada is about 10 kilometres from Chibok, where extremist Boko Haram abducted nearly 300 schoolgirls more than two months ago. Kautikari is about seven kilometres from Chibok.
A resident of Kwada, who identified himself as Mallam Yahi, told journalists that armed men attacked worshippers and burned Churches and houses in Kwada, before heading to Kautikari.
Several residents fled into the bushes to escape the attack, Mr. Yahi said.
Children more likely to die in Nigeria than in any other country participating in World Cup
Nearly half of all deaths in children under age five occur in the first 28 days of life.
Nigeria has the highest rate of child deaths among all the nations represented at the ongoing 2014 FIFA World Cup, a new scorecard of the 32 countries competing in the tournament has shown.
According to the scorecard, Nigeria has reduced child mortality by only 42 percent since 1990.
For every 1,000 births in Nigeria, 124 children will die before they reach age five, the report showed.
“The World Cup scorecard shows that when governments prioritize child health, dramatic progress can be made,” said Naveen Thacker, president-elect of the Asia Pacific Pediatric Association.
“Leaders from government, civil society and the business community must unite to ensure that preventable child deaths are soon consigned to the history books” he added.
However, the report says all countries have made significant progress in reducing childhood mortality since 1990, when the World Cup was hosted by Italy.

Reader's Mail: My Husband Made Me Sleep With A Male Colleague Last Week
I have a problem and I need advice from fellow readers of your blog. I got married to my husband in the year 2011 and our marriage has been consummated with a girl child. Our marriage was working smoothly until my husband got an offshore job to work with an oil servicing firm based in port Harcourt last year June.
Ever since then, he hardly comes home. Most times he comes home just for the weekend once in two months and even when he comes he hardly touches me. I have spoken to him about this and he keeps telling me it's because of the stressful nature of his work. Continue below.
I am tired of having to tend to the baby at night alone and things got a head last week when ho.rmo'nes got the better of me and I ended up sleeping with a male colleague of mine at work.
Ever since this incident, I have been contemplating divorce because my husband led me into this shameful act.
I would have loved to relocate from Lagos to Port Harcourt to be with him but he claims he works offshore most of the time.
Please your constructive advice is needed on how to handle this issue because I know this will not only benefit me but also several women in the same situation. Thank you.

''So what if I sell sex toys? Nigerians are a bunch of hypocrites'' - Bisi Ibidapo-Obe
After opening her shop and posing with sex toys..Yoruba actress,Bisi Ibidapo-Obe raised eyebrows when she vehemently denied selling sex toys..In a new interview with the Sun, she blasts Nigerian's for being hypocrites
"I did not open a sex toyshop. I sell
men and women under wears and a few other things. I also have a section
for body massage, body polish and other things that are related to
that. On the issue of sex toys, I have this to say, if I sell sex toys
so what? Nigerians are a bunch of hypocrites. They make issues out of
non-issues. When I travelled to London I saw some newly wedded couples
buying sex toys but back here, Nigerians believe that those that buy sex
toys are harlots. In fact, there is dignity in the use of sex toys.I am
not into the sales of only sex toys but there is a big market for
them."

Eniola Badmus Finally Reveals What Julius Agwu Did To Her Years Ago!...

So Agwu got Badmus a role and she'd already become famous in an industry he too recently realized he should to be part of.
SHOCKING REVELATION: Pupils In Oyo Community School Drink Cattle Urine, Take Turns To Learn In Class...
Benjamin Oshokoya, six, is a young boy
bubbling with life. Now in Basic Two in one of the best schools around
the Shangisha area of Lagos, his dream of becoming an accountant in the
near future is gradually taking shape. Privileged to be born into a
financially stable family, he is enjoying the best type of education
money can buy. His life outside the school setting is also an
interesting bit. With a vast array of luxury at his disposal and a
massive prospect ahead, little Ben cannot ask for more.
But fast forward 240 kilometers away in
Opoo, a remote community at the outskirts of Okaka in Itesiwaju Local
Government Area of Oyo State, life is a different mix for Abiola Bankole
and her two little siblings – Yemi and Ibukun. Unlike Benjamin’s posh
school with all the modern facilities to aid learning, their school,
Community Primary School Opoo, boasts only three classrooms with no
basic facilities to support any meaningful academic exercise. Two out of
the three classrooms have their roof completely blown off by the wind
while the only surviving one shared by the entire school of about 150
pupils is half way from finally caving. More than half of the schools
population wear mufti to classes because their parents cannot afford
uniforms. Many of the children carry their books to school in sacks or
with their bare hands. Not only that, pupils drink water mixed with
cattle urine and faeces as the only source of water in community is
shared by both animals and human begins. For the three siblings and
dozens of their little colleagues in this tiny agrarian community, there
is nothing to dream about in the future. The harsh environment they
live in and the terrible condition under which they learn at this
dilapidated school building rob them of the frills that come along with
formative years.
SHOCKER! Slavery Still Thrives In Kogi’s ‘Land Of Freedom’- A MUST READ....
#
Kogi State is reputed as the state in
Nigeria where the ‘Iron of Liberty’ is found .The Iron of Liberty is a
spot where slaves were freed at the end of the slave trade in 1860.
The state is reported to have three main
ethnic groups and languages. They are the Igala, Ebira, and Okun (a
Yoruba group). It is also said to have other minorities like the Ogugu
subgroup of the Kakanda, Igala, Gwari and Oworo people, Bassa, a small
fraction of Nupe mainly in Lokoja, the Eggan community under Lokoja
Local Government and the Ogori Magongo.
The abolition of slave trade by the
British government in the 19th Century led to the enforcement of the
Slave Trade Abolition Act. The West African Frontier Force had after the
abolition of slave trade mounted surveillance squads on Rivers Niger
and Benue to secure the routes against any possible violation of the
Act.
The squad reportedly captured many barges
with slaves on board and forced the vessels to berth at the dockyard
while the slaves were rescued from the slave merchants.
The seized slaves were then led to the
Iron of Liberty where two iron poles were erected. The slaves were then
instructed to touch them to regain their freedom. Any slave who escaped
from his master and touched the Iron of Liberty in the now Kogi State
automatically regained his freedom.
It is therefore quite surprising that a
state that played host to freed slaves could in the present modern world
still harbour in some of its communities people who are regarded as
slaves or euphemistically put, second class citizens.
EXPOSED: Ways To End Boko Haram Insurgency In Nigeria....
PHOTO: Analysts speaking on wave of terrorism in Nigeria on Channels TV
Following the unabated acts of terrorism being perpetrated across
Nigeria by the Islamists terror group, Boko Haram, security experts are
continuing to advise the federal government on ways to win the war
against terrorism in the country.
Commenting on the menace during Channels Television’s weekend
breakfast show Sunrise, on Saturday, 28 June, 2014, Mr Ladi Thompson, a
security expert, urged Nigerians to always remain alert, security
conscious and report any strange movements or items to the nearest
security agency.
Mr Thompson noted that the bomb blast that happened in Abuja on
Wednesday, 25 June, 2014, shouldn’t have come to any Nigerian as a
surprise. He said “if anybody was surprised by the bombing in Abuja, it would mean that that person has refused to face the reality of what we have on ground in Nigeria.”
He argued that security operatives were using an inferior tactic in solving the insurgency and bringing the culprits to book.
“I would have preferred the Federal Government to diagnose the
problem properly and also brace up the nation for the reality on ground,
instead of empty promises that cannot be backed up”, he said.National Conference adopts true federalism for Nigeria.....

REVEALED: How Another Bomb Blast Was Averted At EMAB Plaza In Abuja....
A suspected member of Boko Haram attempted to detonate another Improvised Explosive Device, IED, at EMEB Plaza in Abuja shortly after the explosion that killed 21 persons on Wednesday, 26 June, 2014, according to the coordinator of the National Information Centre, NIC, Mr. Mike Omeri.
Omeri made this disclosure in Abuja Friday afternoon when he led
other members of the NIC in a media briefing on government’s efforts to
curb insurgency in the country.
Sahara Reporters quoted Omeri saying the timely response of security agents at the scene of the attack prevented the terrorists from detonating the second explosives.
He explained “that their (security agents) prompt action on that afternoon led to the arrest of one of the attackers and the killing of another that was almost using his gadgets to detonate the second and possibly the third deadly device.”
Omeri denied reports that said the CCTV cameras installed around some areas in the Federal Capital Territory are not functioning.
He informed that Minister of the FCT, Senator Bala Mohammed told him that the cameras were functioning and that more are to be installed.

Abacha Loot: Why We Withdrew Charges Against Mohammed Abacha – FG.....
The federal government explained yesterday that its recent withdrawal of the criminal proceedings against Mohammed Abacha in Nigeria became necessary to facilitate the recovery of about $380million from the Luxembourg proceedings and $550million from forfeiture proceedings instituted by the US Department of Justice.
It also described as unfortunate and unfair what it termed “blanket criticism” by Transparency International (TI) condemning the decision of the Jonathan administration to withdraw the money laundering charges against the Abacha family.
In a statement it issued accusing the federal government of encouraging impunity by allowing the Abacha family to be set free, TI had contended that “allowing the theft of public funds to go unpunished sends the wrong message that those with powerful connections can act with impunity”, especially as the government has not given adequate reasons for dropping the charges.
But the attorney general of the federation (AGF) and minister of justice, Mr Mohammed Adoke, who made the federal government’s position known, noted that while TI’s statement in this regard was not only “an unfortunate rush to judgement without the benefit of facts”, nothing could be further from the truth.
In a statement issued by his chief press secretary, Mr Ambrose Momoh, Adoke said, “The blanket criticism by TI, which has little bearing on the facts, is therefore, unfortunate. The singling out of Nigeria for criticism by TI for adopting measures, which are globally used in cases of this nature and which have produced good results for the country is unfair.

Aftermath of APC convention: Read Tinubu’s message to PDP…A MUST READ....
Former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu yesterday declared that the All Progressive Congress (APC) broom revolution is ready now to sweep the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) out of power in 2015. The change he told the teeming supporters at the party’s maiden national convention holding at the Eagle Square, Abuja has become necessary because of the manifest ineptitude and weakness of the PDP-led government.
A government he said that cannot protect her citizens such that 250 girls abducted in Chibok, Borno more than a month ago are still in captivity.
The people, he said, cannot continue to tolerate this government and APC had come to present the clear alternative.

Kefee Needs A Miracle To Survive, Diagnosed With Pre-Eclampsia, – Doctor....
Kefee 1
stargist Gospel singer, Kefee has been diagnosed with Pre-eclampsia – pregnancy
induced high blood pressure. Six-month pregnant Kefee had embarked on a 14-hour
flight to Chicago for an event but went into coma, forcing the plane to land in
Los Angeles so that she could be urgently attended to. According to a Tribune
source; “Kefee surely did not know that she had a high blood pressure before
she embarked on the long trip and suddenly went into coma in the air. That she
is pregnant has made her situation dicey, so she will need a miracle to
survive, a doctor told me”, Meanwhile, a medical doctor in Nigeria, Dr Adeyefa,
shedding more light on Kefee’s condition, said: “Kefee is in a precarious
situation because of the six months pregnancy. If the foetus had been nine
months, the doctors would have removed the baby and saved the mother and child.
As it is now, not only will the baby not survive because the carrier is in
coma, Kefee may also lose her life from further complications. The chances of
the mother surviving is narrow, while the kid has a narrower chance. I urge
Nigerians to pray for her for a miracle because that is what she really
needs,”he added. Let’s keep praying for Kefee…..Miracles still happen.
