Information indicate that two people have died after a female suicide
bomber detonated a bomb along Biu Road, Gombe state. According to our
sources, the explosion occurred at about 11am along Military Quarter
Guard, Biu Road in Gombe.
The woman had the explosive in her bag, but it went off prematurely.
She was killed along with a soldier. There are indications that the bomb
had gone off prematurely as chances were high that the military
quarters was her ultimate target.There was an explosion three days ago targeted at the Gombe Government House but official reports say the incident was as a result of an “accidental discharge” in the Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) stationed in front of Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo’s residence.
The details of today’s attack is still sketchy but we shall bring you more soon.
