– Top Nigerian female gospel artiste, Busola Oke, popularly known as
Eleyele, has escaped death after her SUV was involved in a ghastly
crash.
The accident occurred on Saturday, 4 January, 2014, at Fiditi near Oyo town, Oyo State, southwest Nigeria.
P.M.NEWS learnt that Eleyele and one of her aides called Francis who
was also in the vehicle were rushed by officials of the Federal Road
Safety Commission, FRSC, to Amdalla Hospital in Ibadan for immediate
treatment.
They were later transferred to Crystal Hospital, Lagos, with Oyo State emergency ambulance.
Mojoyinola Ayoyemi, her publicist, confirmed the accident, saying
that “it happened on her way to Lagos from Oyo after performing at a
function. Anyway, we thank God for her life because she has been
discharged from the hospital.”
The cause of the crash cannot be ascertained as Mojoyinola said he was not in the car.
Busola Oke stormed the music scene a decade ago and became famous with her hit debut titled Eleyele.
The singer and songwriter also veered into contemporary classic love song with inspirational dance beat.
Apart from the hit song Eleyele, Busola has released many hit albums, including Oburo (Sweetheart).
She has also produced various movie sound tracks, one of which is Alabarin.
