REPORT ACCORDING TO 247UREPORT
Information
available to 247urepots.com indicates that the Kano state governor,
Malam Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso recently concluded a closed door meeting with
his counterpart Jigawa state governor Alhaji Sule Lamido at the Jigawa
State government house. The meeting, according to available information
was held to discuss possible decamp from the Peoples Democratic Party
[PDP] to another opposition party.
It was reliably gathered that the two governor who are members of the
G7 are said to have agreed on principle to abandon the PDP. A source
close to Kwankwaso states that Kwankwaso appears overly bitter of the
proposed national dialogue. In his words. Kwankwaso sees the national as
“baseless to Nigeria”. The “national dialogue has no importance to
Nigerians”.
But Kwankwaso in talking to reporters after the closed door meeting
denied that the closed door meeting had to do with the possible
defection from their party to a new party. “We came together to share
ideas that will help in executing meaningful projects that will assist
our people who voted us them into power”. He also denied the speculation
that he was at Jigawa to convince Lamido to defect from the ruling
party to the All Progressive Congress [APC].
